Christmas Deals and Sex Shop

We at Plastered are always on the look out for talent and here’s a beauty of a design from Tangshan designer Monkey Ben. Monkey King meets Indian chief. You can expect more creative designs from Chinese based designers as we expand our design network. If you’d like to be involved please send an email to: design@plasteredtshirts.com

Plastered teams up with Beijing based makers of the brilliant film Red Light Revolution.
Red Light Revolution is China’s first sex shop comedy, about an unemployed Beijinger who
decides to open an adult shop to make ends meet, sparking a sexual revolution in his conservative neighborhood. It was nominated for Best Unproduced Screenplay at the 2008 Inside Film Awards in Australia. The film’s unique subject matter has garnered articles in CNN, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, The Irish Times, Euro News, and Danwei. The film premiered to sold out screenings at the São Paulo International Film Festival, and will be starting its US festival run in January.

The Raveonettes Get Plastered

On November 16th I went to an unforgettable gig, Carsick Cars supporting The Raveonettes, I think i was the only one moshing to Carsick Cars and even fell flat on my ass doing so but I reckon I had the most fun of anyone there! The Raveonettes were outstanding, one of the best live acts I ever heard, so when i was hung over Wednesday morning walking down Nan Luo Gu Xiang I was over the moon to bump into the Raveonettes, they got a load of Plastered gear and my hang over was gone. These little moments make all the hard work worth while.

Carsick Cars Split and Re Group

Its a sad day when one of your favourite bands split up. I was fortuneate enough to be at their last gig Tuesday night and can safely say I was the last person to mosh to Carsick Cars (cause no one else was moshing). I took a few pics with my phone at the gig. I’m also lucky enough to have got the whole band to sign one of our Carsick Cars T-shirts which I will keep somewhere safe. You can still buy the original Carsick Cars T-shirt in our stores or online on taobao or on our own site. And if you want to see possibly the best video and live recording of Carsick Cars you can see them here when they played at our Plastered Rock Weekend last year. The good news is they are re forming just without the bass player and the drummer, so that leaves Shou Wang.
