Last weekend was Mother’s Day so to celebrate this we put up a lovely sign outside our flagship store so people could send their mum a pic with a greeting, the sign reads in Chinese “Mum I love you”. This idea came from a great friend and personal hero of mine Shed Simove who did this stunt on a billboard in London this year.
We had tones of pics sent to our wei buo so here are a few of them.

We have a beautiful high ceiling in our flagship store on Nan Luo Gu Xiang and we’ve played with many ideas on how to decorate it. This morning we finally did something about it. Beautiful government propaganda now stretches across the ceiling with one of our own favourite pieces of propaganda. “Plastered will change your life”

To keep things interesting on Nan Luo Gu Xiang we’ve not only refurbished our store and its looking awesome but we’ve changed the doors so half of the store front opens up into a stage onto the street. Last weekend we had You ke Huo Ji perform with their ukulele’s to a massive crowd outside the store.
We’ve opened this platform up to anyone who fancies playing to a nice big crowd in lovely old Beijing. Simply send a link to your music online to music@plastered.com. Everyone that plays the Plastered stage gets some free Plastered gear.

We are having our flagship store renovated by some amazing and skillful workers. Just to celebrate their great work here is a pic of them all Plastered up whilst on the job, and a sneak peak at the new mosaic wall behind. Thanks for everything from the Plastered Team!

We at Plastered make every effort to keep our neighbourhood interesting and your life beautiful. As more and more outlets on our Hu Tong lose the creative fun feel they used to have we feel its important to deliver something creative to the street to bring it back to its roots, thus we developed the Plastered Stage. Playing inspiring music for you onto the Hu Tong to make you smile.
Starting this Saturday March 24th at 2pm our first guests are the very entertaining You Ke Huo Ji,Richard Dora and Zhang Song Tao, and here is the write up they provided
“We are the Jolly Fellow Ukulele Band, Beijing’s premier (in fact only) two-man ukulele power pop combo. Combing the luck of the Irish and the burn-the-mouth-off-ya Chong Qing, Richard Doran and Zhang Song Tao will amaze, entertain and dazzle the young and old alike with their four strings of fun.”
